"Art evokes the mystery without which the world would not exist."

Art allows us to become better analyzers and have more meaningful interactions with the world around us. It is important to observe past the first impression when it comes to our surroundings. As a STEM major, I think it is important to note that there is both an artistic and biological connection to what humans consider is beautiful. Art doesn't have to be expensive, painted, or conventionally beautiful; rather, art is meant to elicit emotion and connection.

There are seven main elements of art. These include line, shape, form, texture, color, space, and value. There are also ten main elements of art: balance, emphasis, harmony, movement, pattern, proportion, repetition, rhythm, unity, and variance. These elements and principles combine in artworks to create a response in the viewer. Artists can utilize these elements and principles to achieve an acceptance of their art piece, as well as convey the idea of beauty to their audience.
